UltraScan 5000 of Vexcel Imaging Austria is inpho's photogrammetric high precision scanner for digital image generation. It combines high geometric accuracy with high radiometric resolution for graphics arts industries and is thus ideally suited to comply with high quality demands of photogrammetry.
UltraScan 5000 delivers per default 12 bit per pixel and offers two native resolutions. Either 5 micron or 29 micron and multiples thereof. The device has a self-calibration procedure built in which can be applied in unattended operating mode. Currently, there is an optional manual roll film winder available. The brand new automated roll film winder is going to be available soon, and each existing scanner can be equipped with it. The scanning device is controlled by a standard PC running Windows NT. The graphical user interface is intuitive and allows to easily enter all parameters. For repeated scanning of diapositives, negatives or even opaque material UltraScan 5000 allows to store project dependant data in its scanner project management system. The scanner is a table top device, small and light weight and thus easy to transport if required.
